ABOUT ME

I’m a South African children’s book illustrator and am proud to have picture books published by Pan Macmillan South Africa and Owlet Press UK. Rep’d by my lovely agents at Astound US in New York & London. My illustration style reflects my imagination and life experience - playful and bold - with expressive and characters that reflect the diverse world we live in. I work from home and I love using pencils, crayons and chalk and then take that into a digital format for ease of editing. I'm also a mom of 2 wonderful children - married to my bestie and I am obsessed with birds and animals - but mostly with dogs! I love visiting indie bookstores, art museums and collecting vintage children's books on all my travels. I also suffer from 'fomo' so I like to live in the centre of every city - to feel the vibe and hustle and bustle. We lived in in the Cape Town city centre in the historical and vibrant Bo Kaap for many years and we are currently based in Prague, Czech Republic in Smíchov - which translates to ‘Smile’ :)
