BRAVELY BEING ME BOOK
I’m so honoured to have been given the opportunity to illustrate all the incredible contributor’s portraits for Adoption UK’s fantastic new book, BRAVELY BEING ME.
This wonderful book is a dynamic and varied collection of inspiring biographies – showing how adopted people from all walks of life have used the highs and lows of their adoption journeys to find strength, hope and self-belief, and do the most incredible things.

Read all about the incredible adoption journeys from these phenomenal people & more inside the book:

Jackie  is currently Chancellor of the University of Salford and has been awarded an MBE and CBE by the Queen.

In 2015 Michelin announced the acquisition of Blackcircles.com, the number one Internet tire sales company in the United Kingdom! Mike is also the sponsor of this incredible book and has also set up The Welch Trust to support children and young people - especially those who have been fostered or adopted. Thank you Mike!

Tony Hudgell - A Fundraising SUPERHERO!
Tony set the target of walking 10km in a month, with two prosthetic legs in June 2020, after being inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore. Tony, who was only 5 at the time was "over the moon" when his fundraising for the hospital that saved his life topped £1m. Tony is so INCREDIBLY inspiring and it only made sense to depict him as a super hero!
John Buultjens - Author, BMX Superstar and Actor (who was inspired as a child by the movie ET).
I am one of the millions of fans that have been totally hooked on the weekly podcast THE GUILTY FEMINIST for the past few years - so I did a little hop, skip and a jump when I heard that Deborah Frances-White was going to be one of the book's contributors!
Not only did her book The Guilty Feminist become a Sunday Times bestseller but she is also an Amnesty International Ambassador! (based on photograph by Billie Scheepers).
Sonny Hall is an English model and poet. Hall released his debut poetry collection.
Joy Carter - A wonderfully successful musical comedian.
Melissa Shackleton is the director of commercial of Hotel Chocolat - a world-renowned, luxury chocolatier and gifting company.
